As I read To Kill A Mockingbird I realized more and more how smart Atticus is. While reading this novel I was able to understand Jem and Scout's thinking patterns but Atticus was very hard to predict. Multiple times throughout the story Atticus made decisions I didn't understand his actions but as I read further I realized why he did things the way he did. For example inviting Aunt Alexandra into the house during the case as a shield to keep violence away from Jem, Scout, And Calpernia safe. It's those decisions that make Atticus the awesome character he is.
